SNAP TV Launches A New Generation
Of Travel DVD Trivia Games
New York, NY - February 12, 2006 – GameSnacks,
the world’s first assortment of DVD travel games developed
by Snap TV, was introduced here today at the 2006 International
Toy Fair. Available in four titles, including Kids Trivia, Family
Showdown, Pop Culture and Gender Wars, these new DVD games are
designed to meet the growing trend towards portable DVD players
and entertainment during all the holidays.
“We are giving consumers what they want,” say Nicholas
Wodtke, Chief Executive Officer of Snap TV. “Our research
has shown that consumers of all ages love trivia games that
are quick, competitive and accessible. Our goal was to create
quick bursts of fun that can be played on spring break, summer
and holiday season.”
With both single and multiplayer options, all of the GameSnacks
games include six different types of games. The games are portable
and require nothing more than a DVD player.
Developed for ages six and up, GameSnacks
Kids Trivia was composed by kids for kids. The questions
focus on topics that suit this age group, including cartoons,
pop culture and toy-themed trivia.
GameSnacks
Family Showdown lets kids play against adults. While both
groups are able to play on their own level, the game is entertaining
for all. Designed to give kids a chance to shine, this game
is a confidence builder and a tool that sparks children’s
interest in new areas during family fun time.
The world of musicians, celebrities and scandals comes to life
in GameSnacks
Pop Culture is made for ages 13 and up. Reliving the last
decade in trivia questions, adults can test their knowledge
of recent quirky, comical and crazy events.
The fourth GameSnack,
Gender Wars is created specifically to pit the guys against
girls. Also targeted at ages 13 and up, this game has questions
that test the players knowledge of certain gender-charged topics
such as make-up, fashion designers, automobiles and sports.
The four titles carry a MSRP of $12.99 each and offer quick
bites sizes of fun with six separate games on each DVD. The
games allow players to double-down on their points, steal lives,
and duel in head to head contests. Each game takes less than
30 minutes to complete and has a random generator that puts
its 1000 plus questions to good use.
